Idolum / Evidence

Public evidence method

Repository facts are evidence, not popularity.

The website shows a small allowlisted set of public GitHub facts that helps visitors inspect Idolum's methods. Stars, forks, issue totals, and inferred adoption are deliberately excluded.

Canonical state

The initial page is rendered from a validated, source-controlled snapshot. It remains complete when GitHub is unavailable or rate-limited.

Optimistic refresh

A scheduled workflow requests newer public metadata and proposes a reviewed snapshot update. A refresh is accepted only when repository identity, owner, URL, visibility, timestamps, and the allowlist validate. Failure leaves the checked snapshot unchanged.

Meaning

“Updated” is GitHub's latest pushed timestamp. A release label is the latest published release. Neither field claims security, adoption, customer use, or production readiness.

Freshness

CI rejects malformed data and snapshots older than fourteen days. Refreshes are atomic, so incomplete responses cannot erase valid evidence.

Boundary

Public repositories make operating methods inspectable. They do not prove private customer outcomes. Companies and individuals are named only with explicit approval.
